In the Operation Peregrine listing of characters, you use the phrase True Believers, how does this term fit into the story?
The term True Believers has been widely used to describe individuals and groups running a gamut where they are depicted as religious, political, dedicated, fanatical and so on. In these situations, the term True Believer has been given positive or negative implications depending on the writer.
I am using the term "True Believers" in a very narrow positive context:
"Americans dedicated to ideals of the United States of America as set forth in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution are True Believers."
In my life, I was privileged to meet and work with a great number of True Believers. My experience in the US military and the US Intelligence Community was enhanced by knowing these patriots. During that time, I also met many American civilians who treasured being American citizens and respected our nation. This select group of Americans represent those I deem as "True Believers".
The concept of 'American True Believers' frames Operation Peregrine and the planned sequels for the Peregrine team.
The American characters in Operation Peregrine, military and civilians in the intelligence community, are based on actual individuals I worked with or knew about - individuals who were totally committed and devoted to the US and willing to give the "last full measure of devotion" for our country.

In the book section, you project at least three more books for the future, is this a series or separate stories?
Operation Peregrine is the first of four books in a planned series. Each book deals with a selected epoch of the Soviet threat during the Cold War. The original team members live, and some die, as they serve the US in each epoch. New characters emerge in each sequel augmenting our surviving crew of American True Believers. The series is consistent with historical events of the Cold War. The details in each of the sequels are authentic as to espionage practices and tradecraft, portray realistic characters, and give a peek behind the curtain of 'smoke and mirrors'.

Book 2 of The Peregrine Team Series, Not On My Watch Nuclear Apocalypse tells the story of a small group of the US military intelligence operatives who were the tip of the spear to stop the Soviet Union from being the first to build and deploy an anti-missile defense system. Shrouded in secrecy the Det 3 Operations Group and Team Peregrine, based in Wiesbaden, Germany, operated under cover with the mission to penetrate the Soviet advanced research programs to develop a strategic anti-missile defense system. A group of American spies in Wiesbaden Germany had the mission to stop the Soviets from developing a new weapon to destroy the United States. A fierce intelligence war ensued between the KGB and the US spies in Wiesbaden to decide which nation would win the Cold War. KGB Colonel Rostov, the top KGB assassin, was ordered to kill Commander Gary Baumgartner and his wife Annie who were directing the spy operation in Wiesbaden. Survival of the US hung in the balance.
